THE UPWARD CALL

WEEK 27 - TUESDAY

Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:12-14

What is your 'upward call'? Paul's upward call was that of an apostle. Your upward call could be that of a leader, a carpenter, a craftsman, teacher, or so on. Whatever your vocational assignment, that is your 'upward call,' which is also the highest and best use for your talents.

In order to be successful in his pursuit, Paul outlines a few strategies for goals associated with his upward call:

FOUR STRATEGIES FOR FINE-TUNING YOUR UPWARD CALL

Frequent questions:

  • How would you describe God's 'upward call' in your life?
  • What goals are you FIXED on, and which are you flexible on?
  • What is holding you back that you need to let go of?

When God directs your goals, He sets a roadmap in place to achieve them.
